Suryakumar Yadav retains the no.2 ranking ahead of T20 WC
Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav will enter the T20 World Cup as the 2nd best batter in this format according to the latest update of ICC Men’s player rankings issued on Wednesday.
Pakistan opener Mohammad Rizwan continues to top the ranking with 861 rating points. Thanks to yet another consistent show, the Pakistan opener is at the top for a while now. Suryakumar Yadav, India’s best batter in this format, is at 838 rating points and is just behind Rizwan in the rankings.
Pakistan skipper Babar Azam is in the third spot despite his poor show in recent matches. Azam failed to score even one half-century in the recently concluded Asia Cup.
Aiden Markram and Devon Conway are currently in fourth and fifth positions respectively.
There is not much change in the top-ten rankings except for Glenn Phillips. The explosive New Zealand batter has entered the top ten rankings by moving 13 places.
KL Rahul is the 2nd highest-ranked cricketer from India. He is currently in the 13th spot. Virat Kohli is at 15th and Rohit Sharma is 16th.
In the all-rounder T20I men’s rankings, Hardik Pandya is the highest-ranked Indian and he is currently at 6th spot.
Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan will enter the T20 World Cup as the top all-rounder. He replaced Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi after a successful tri-series against Pakistan and New Zealand.
