Sourav Ganguly opens up on Jasprit Bumrah’s chances of playing World Cup
Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah has suffered a back injury recently and was ruled out of the T20I series against South Africa.
He was then replaced by Mohammad Siraj. However, Jasprit Bumrah’s participation in the World Cup is still a question mark as there is no update from the officials yet.
However, recently, Sourav Ganguly said that he wouldn’t rule out Bumrah from the World Cup without any confirmation from the officials.
“Bumrah is not out of the World Cup yet. We’ve got our fingers crossed. Don’t rule him out yet,” Ganguly said during an interaction with RevSportz.
Ganguly also mentioned that he doesn’t know if Bumrah would be fit for the World Cup. Only after the results, he can comment on the situation. He said that we will get an update in two to three days.
“I don’t know. We will find out in the next two-three days,” Ganguly said.
India will play an ODI series after T20Is against South Africa. After that, they will have a short camp in Perth before leaving for the T20 World Cup. India will be playing their first match against their arch-rivals Pakistan.
